Jaco Lotheringen Managing Director

Pr Eng Mining Engineering

Jaco started his career in the mining industry with Iscor (now Exxaro) in 1997 as a miner and shift overseer where he gained operational experience in the conventional and continuous miner development and stooping sections at Tshikondeni coal mine. Jaco specialises in CPRs/ITRs; due diligence studies and technical audits; public reporting based on SAMREC, JORC and NI43-101; mining engineering; and project management. He is also a professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and a member of South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM).

Spencer Eckstein Director: Business Development and Legal

Before starting at Ukwazi, Spencer was a legal and risk manager for Golder Associates, a Canadian mining and engineering consultancy. Prior to this he worked at Rio Tinto as it legal and commercial manager for Southern and Central Africa. Spencer has extensive experience as a strategy consultant having worked for various management consulting companies such as Manto Management and Letsema Consulting, as well as various BEE investment companies such as Izingwe Capital and Mafika Investments.

Ntokozo Xaba Director

Degree in Project Management

Ntokozo serves on the boards of directors of several significant South African institutions and is co-author of two IBM Redbooks on Tivoli Configuration Management (2001). He is also a recognised Enterprise Systems Management professional, holding several industry qualifications from organisations such as IBM, Novell, Microsoft and Cisco.
