Multi-disciplinary studies
At Ukwazi, we excel in managing a diverse range of mining and engineering infrastructure projects, regardless of their scale or complexity - from initial conceptualisation through to project development.
We strongly believe that our unique organisational design gives us a significant advantage in the mining sector. It facilitates our engagement as multi-disciplinary project teams based on a matrix of expert Superteams to cater for the scope and requirements of each new project. This way, our company is not individually focused, but focused on a collection of Superteams that consist of permanent members.
This not only makes the project teams efficient from the start but allows for unique opportunities for personal growth and development for our staff. It puts them in a position where they work permanently with the members of the Superteam that they were chosen to be part of. This structure enables us to adapt swiftly to project dynamics and augment our capabilities with specialist advisers and established associates when additional capacity is required.
This approach allows for the integrated project management team to focus on integration of the technical disciplines (geology, mining, geotechnical, engineering infrastructure, processing, tailings and waste management, environmental, social and governance and water studies) and overall project controls, while the client retains technical interaction with the individual technical disciplines. This fosters meaningful contributions to the achievement of overall project objectives and the quality of the outcomes.
